The adaptive reuse project of the farmhouse is grounded in the dialectic between preserving historical memory and integrating NZEB (Nearly Zero Energy Building) strategies. The intervention aimed to transform an abandoned rural structure into a contemporary single-family residence, striving for a rigorous balance between rural aesthetics and cutting-edge energy performance.
Technical Details:
- Envelope: Consolidation of load-bearing walls in stone and bricks with internal thermal insulation in breathable wood fiber.
- Sustainability: Integration of photovoltaic and solar thermal panels in the roof, minimizing visual impact on the recovery fields.
- Materials: Weathered steel for minimal window frames, high-performance selective glass, and wood for the roof's load-bearing structures.
